Meet Maddi: Our New Communications Specialist!

Lookout Mountain Conservancy — an amazing organization where I was able to learn about and better myself. I think of LMC and The Howard School Leadership Program as the place where I found myself.

When I first started working with LMC, I didn’t believe in myself and was scared to do new things.

I joined Lookout Mountain Conservancy a few summers ago after hearing about it through my older sister Sade who went through the program.

We are thrilled to introduce Caroline Wiygul, our new AmeriCorps VISTA Conservation Coordinator, who brings knowledge and enthusiasm to Lookout Mountain Conservancy.

As my graduation approaches, I find myself looking back over the past few years and all of the hardships I have overcome.

This past week, we hosted the grand opening of our greenhouse, aptly named "Robyn's Nest" by our board of directors in honor of Robyn Carlton, LMC's President & CEO whose vision and tireless efforts made this capital project come to fruition.

Chattanooga, TN — The 4th annual Wauhatchie Boulderfest unfolded on a cold but beautiful Sunday, January 14th, 2024, at Lookout Mountain Conservancy’s Rockmont Park.

I joined the Intern & Leadership Program in 2013 as part of one of the very first groups to work on the mountain.

Reflecting on this past year, we feel grateful.

The Access Fund and Southeastern Climbers Coalition partnered with us again this year to host our second annual climbing competition at the Boulders on Old Wauhatchie Pike.

I joined LMC as a rising sophomore in 2019. At first, I assumed it would be like any other job, tedious and boring.

Thanks to ticket sales and generous donations from you, your friends, and neighbors, the Annual Shrimp Boil raised over $15,000

When I was little it was just me, my older sister, and our parents. I loved being able to spend as much time with them as I wanted.
